Baby's skin is very thin and delicate, and SO SOFT! As parents, it's our job to

- Never use petroleum based products on your baby's skin.
- Only use Zinc products on baby at the recommendation or your doctor.
- Make sure your baby's bum sees the light of day, at least once a day!
Barrier CreamsA barrier cream is exactly that, a barrier! It's protects your baby's bum from whatever it makes contact with! Baby's urine and poop can hold some pretty potent skin irritants, such as ammonia, and this can cause rashes and other skin irritations. Barrier cream prevents the urine & poop from actually making contact with the skin.
The Barrier creams I most highly recommend are: - Momma Goose Cloth Bottom Balm - CJ's BUTTer - Baby Bottom Better Diaper Rash Care:The best way to combat diaper rash is "naked bum time" - give your baby's bum lots of oxygen! Wipes & SpraysWhat you use to clean your baby's bum is important! You want to use something non-irritating and safe! You can use the commercial wipes, or even just a cloth with warm water but there are other products that will help keep your baby's bottom clean & fresh!
